2019 Home Project List

I've decided that I'm not making any resolutions this year, I'm never good at keeping them(Exhibit A, my plan to do one coffee break a month this year! Ha!). What I am going to do is make a list of things I want to do in 2019, and then figure out how to do them as I go. Though out the last (several) year(s) I've had some new project ideas mulling around in my head that I haven't ever gotten around to putting into motion, and I've decided this is the year to do them! One of my favorite off day activities is moving furniture around and trying new arrangements for different rooms, but in 2019 I want to push it a little further.

This is going to be so much fun.

PAINT BEDROOM

I have been talking about updating the wall color in my room for YEARS now. More specifically, for two years. The two bedrooms at the back of my house were added on to the original floor plan, and thus, they don't have the same old-character as the other rooms. Right now, I've got my painted a really light shade of gray, and while it matches the pain in all the other rooms, it feels like it doesn't give the room anything "special." This year, I want to finally pull the trigger on a more statement-making color to give this little space some personality.

UPDATE LIVING ROOM

I've updated a few things here and there in the living room since I moved in almost 3 years ago, but I haven't really changed the main spots. This year, I want to make it a point to update a few key areas in my living room to freshen it up a bit. I also don't want to completely blow my budgets, so I want to keep the "refresh" items as things that I could move to other rooms in the future if I choose to (read: I'm not looking to update the couch, coffee table, TV, or any other "major" pieces) Items that I am looking into are:

- WALL ART

- PILLOWS

- RUGS

- MIRRORS

And lastly, maybe some curtains??

I've never had curtains in here, but they might be a fun way to add some color/texture to the walls.

CHANGE LIGHTBULBS

This is not an exciting To-Do List item. But because it's not exciting, I currently have 0 working overhead lights in my dining room. We have one lamp, but it's a pretty big room and I feel like it's something that needs to be done. Maybe I can make a habit of changing them in January, and then every year I'll know how long they last!
