Summer Survival Kit

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to do a quick post where I share some of my favorite summer accessories – my personal “Summer Survival Kit”

Let me know what you think!

1. Nail Polish

One of my favorite colors this summer is Sally Hansen’s Crème de la Crème. Crème de la Crème is a little warmer than white nails(which are always nice & matches with pretty much everything!) but the creamier shade works well in warmer summer months. It’s also appropriate for both work and non-work settings, and can work with casual and more dressy settings.

Pinky Promise is another one by Sally Hansen, that’s a little brighter and girlier.  I love the gel nail polish, when paired with the top coat, it lasts up to 14 days & doesn't require a UV ight!

2. Beach Towel:

I really don’t go out in the sun a lot, but when I do, I like to have a bright and cheery towel to sit on with a good book. This one is a few years old, and was probably from TJMaxx or Target. I wasn't able to find this exact one, but there’s a similar one here

3. Sunscreen!

This one is REALLY important, I want my skin to look young for as long as it can! I got this sample sized SPF50 in this month's Birchbox & love it so far! It smells great & it isn’t greasy! It’s a little pricey, but I’m willing to splurge when it comes to good products, and this one is endorsed by the American Lifeguard Association and is hypoallergenic!

4. Hats

As someone who gets sunburned really quickly, much to the amusement of my olive-skinned little brother, I like wide-brimmed hats in order to keep the face and shoulder damage to a minimum. I especially love lighter colors, as they stay cooler than darker ones would.

5. Sunglasses.

Going along with sunscreen and hats, its important to protect your eyes from UVA and UVb rays as well! I recently found this black pair at TJMaxx a few weeks ago, the black goes with a lot of my clothes, but I’m looking for a similar brown pair as well.

6. Earrings

One of my favorite places to shop for accessories is Charming Charlie’s! They frequently have really nice sales and I love  how the shop is color coordinated.

7. Waterbottle

We all know that hydration is important, especially in warmer months. I love water bottles from Aladdin, they're good quality and can be so colorful! This one is my go-to when I don't want to carry around a bottle with a lid that I'll have to fiddle with, or when I know that the chances of me spilling my drink are low!
