Chili Recipe - Easy, Cheap, Delicious, Warm.

Hi guys! I don't know about you, but chili is one of my favorite foods to make when it's cold outside. And it has been SO COLD here this winter! It has snowed twice. in Alabama.

Which, if you aren't familiar with Alabama, is crazy.

The first time it snowed was actually back in December, and I had the flu. so I really only ran outside to take a picture of my house (wearing at least six sweaters, get my reference Friend's fans?!) and then went back inside. But this week when it snowed, I was at home with my family and spent a lot of time outside having snowball fights and taking pictures and having a BLAST!

I've made this chili a couple times this winter, and one of my favorite things about it is how EASY and CHEAP it is. (Hello, straight-out-of-college budgeting!) I've shared my favorite things to add in below, but there are a million different ways you could do it, to make it work with any dietary preference.

So, to make my chili, I use a few basics:

1 can of black beans

1 can of red kidney beans

1 can of pinto beans

1 can of diced tomatoes (& sometimes a small can of tomato sauce)

1 packet of chili spices - or, here is a recipe for a homemade spice blend!

Various Add-ins

Sour Cream

Finely Shredded Cheese

Sliced Avocado

Crushed Tortilla Chips

VEGAN Options

Daiya Mozerella Cheese Style Shreds

Beyond Meat - Beefy Crumbles

Frito's Original  – These are listed on Peta's website as being vegan, which I didn't know but I think is so cool!

What do you use to make chili? Let me know in the comments!

I love trying new recipes!
